MemoPick Privacy Policy

MemoPick (“the App”) is an iOS app that helps you organize your old photos. We understand that photos are among the most private content you own, which is why “fully on-device processing” is the first principle of this product. This policy explains how we handle your information — in short: we do not collect or upload any of your photos or personal data.

1. Core Commitments

100% On-Device Processing: The App never uploads any of your photos, videos, or their metadata to any server. Reading, displaying, deciding, and deleting photos all happen locally on your device. The App operates no servers of its own and never transmits your library content to any third party.
No Personal Information Collected: We neither collect nor ask for your name, phone number, email address, date of birth, location, device identifiers (IDFA/IDFV), or any other personally identifiable information. All features are available without registration or login.
No Third-Party Analytics or Advertising: The App integrates no analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or third-party data-sharing services.

2. System Permissions and Their Purpose

The App requests only the following system permissions, each used solely for the feature it enables:

You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in the system’s Settings → Privacy & Security. Revoking a permission disables the related feature but does not affect anything else.

3. Data Stored Locally

The following data is stored only on your device (iOS UserDefaults / local files). It never leaves your device and is fully deleted when you uninstall the App:

App preferences: language, daily reminder on/off and time, include-videos toggle, batch size, home photo stack toggle and its display scope, etc.;
Usage records: the daily free-decision counter, identifiers of photos “let go” within the last 7 days and photos “kept” in the current round (used to avoid re-suggesting them), and cleanup records (date, count, estimated space freed);
Purchase status: the MemoPick Pro unlock flag. Actual payments are processed by the App Store — we never see your card number or payment account details. Receipts are managed by Apple and can be synced under the same Apple ID via “Restore Purchase”.

4. About Photo Deletion

Every photo deletion must pass three confirmation steps: swipe decision → staging review → iOS system confirmation. Deleted photos go to the iOS “Recently Deleted” album, where you can recover them from the system Photos app at any time within 30 days; after 30 days they are permanently removed by iOS. The App keeps no copies of deleted photos (thumbnail caches shown on the records page are likewise stored only on your device and are removed when the App is uninstalled).

5. Protection of Minors

The App collects no user data and contains no social, content, or advertising features. Minors under the age of 14 should use the App under the guidance of a parent or guardian, who is encouraged to read this policy together with them.

6. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we will update the in-app Privacy Policy page and revise the “Last Updated” date above. For material changes, we may also notify you with an in-app prompt.
