Thank you for using DualShot (referred to as “the App”). We take your privacy and the protection of your personal information very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. Please read it carefully before using the App.

1. Overview

The App is a front-and-rear dual-camera capture tool that allows you to take photos and videos using the front and rear cameras simultaneously, with support for picture-in-picture (PiP) composition mode.

The App commits to: not collecting, transmitting, or selling any personal information. All capture, composition, and editing are performed locally on your device. No data is uploaded to any server.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information We Do Not Collect

• The App does not collect any personally identifiable information (such as name, phone number, email address, home address, etc.).
• The App does not require registration or login.
• The App contains no advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking code.
• The App does not collect device identifiers (such as IDFA, IMEI), location information, contacts, browser history, etc.

2.2 Data Used Only on Your Device

The following data is stored only locally on your device and is never uploaded or shared:

• Captured photos and videos: Stored in your system photo library and fully controlled by you.
• Picture-in-Picture settings (position, size, aspect ratio, border style, etc.): Stored in the App’s local storage (UserDefaults) and used only to restore your preferences after restart.
• Language preference: Stored locally and used to display the interface language of your choice.

3. System Permissions We Request and Their Purpose

When you first use the App, we will request the following permissions. You can disable or modify them at any time in the system “Settings” app:

Notes:

• The camera is only used in real time during capture and preview. No footage is retained within the App after capture.
• A reference image is only read when you actively select it from your photo library.
• The App never accesses the camera or microphone in the background.

4. How We Use Your Information

Because all processing in the App is performed locally on your device, we do not use your information in any form for analysis, profiling, or advertising.

5. Storage of Your Information

• Your captured work is stored in the system photo library and follows iOS system storage and backup rules.
• App settings (picture-in-picture parameters, language, etc.) are stored within the App’s sandbox and are cleared when the App is uninstalled.

6. Sharing and Transfer of Information

• The App does not share, sell, or rent your information to any third party.
• The App contains no third-party SDKs, so there is no channel through which a third party could access your information.

7. Data Security

All data processing in the App takes place locally on your device and does not involve network transmission, which fundamentally avoids the risk of data interception during transfer. The security of your work and data is safeguarded by the iOS system security mechanisms.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not designed for children under the age of 13 and does not collect any personal information from users.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in laws/regulations or App features. The updated policy will be published on this page with the “Last Updated” date revised at the top. In the event of significant changes, we will notify you prominently within the App.
